Haiti's Constitution of 1987 is a text that defines the organization and functioning of the State of Haiti. The new constitution, called "Republican" was presented to the Legislative Palace, in Port-au-Prince, March 10, 1987. It was ratified by the Haitian population in the constitutional referendum of 29 March 1987 which approved 99.81% of ballots cast.
