For this, Dr. Brandelik 2014 the science award of the Federal Association for Dyslexia & Dyscalculia e.V. Based on these findings, the development of the Prosodiya funding program began in 2014. Since the beginning, the development has been carried out in cooperation with the University of Tübingen, Prof. Dr. Jürgen Heller, Research Methods and Mathematical Psychology and Prof. Dr. Detmar Meurers, Computer Lingustik as well as the learning forum Brandelik, a tutoring and learning therapy provider. The Prosodiya research group now consists of Dr. Katharina Brandelik, Jochen Brandelik, Heiko Holz and Benedikt Beuttler. In 2018, Heiko Holz carried out a Prosodiya funding study as part of the graduate school & research network LEAD. 129 primary school children from the second to fourth grades took part and trained with Prosodiya about 5 times a week for 20 minutes each time for 9 weeks. The children were divided into two groups and the groups trained at different times, a so-called waiting-control group design. Spelling skills and the ability to perceive stress patterns were checked on 3 appointments each. The results of the study suggest that by training with the Prosodiya app, the children were able to significantly improve both their spelling skills and their perception of intonation.
