The Blue Jackal

Page 1: Once upon a time there lived a Jackal in the jungle. He was very shrewd. One day he was roaming here and there in the jungle in search of food, but could not get it.

Page 2: When the Jackal could not find the food in the jungle, he entered in the village adjacent to the jungle. It was the mid night and the whole village had gone to sleep.

Page 3: While the Jackal was searching food, suddenly he saw that a window was open in a washer man’s house. He thought to enter in the house from that opened window.

Page 4: He peeped in the house. He found nobody in the house. He thought that he could certainly find something to eat in that house.

Page 5: When he got assured that nobody was looking at him, he jumped into the house from that window. He was unaware that a drum filled with blue dye was lying beneath that window. He dropped into that drum.

Page 6: He got frightened when he dropped into the drum. Somehow he managed to come out of the drum. He found himself dyed blue.

Page 7: He got tired of roaming here and there, so he returned to the jungle. When the other animals saw him, they got frightened. They had never seen a blue creature.

Page 8: When the Jackal saw the animals running with fear, he got an idea. He thought, “What a wonderful idea I got! This idea would arrange me food throughout my life.”

Page 9: He called all the animals and said, “My children! Don’t be afraid of me. God has created me specially to protect you all. I am your king. I will guide you and will show you the right path.”

Page 10: Now the animals got relaxed and happy. Now they had accepted the Jackal as their preacher and the king. They hunt everyday and served the meat to the Jackal.

Page 11: Now the Jackal did not need to worry for his food. The animals of the jungle started taking care of the Jackal’s food. The only thing he used to do was to sit down in a saint’s pose and give his teachings to his followers.

Page 12: The animals were carried away by his smart talks. They had accepted the Jackal as the God’s angle. They had deep faith in him. The jackal was making fool of them and taking unfair advantage of their faith.

Page 13: One day when he was sitting in his court and giving his teachings to his followers, suddenly some other jackals started howling in some other part of the jungle.

Page 14: When the Blue Jackal heard the voice of his same race, he forgot everything and started howling in response.

Page 15: Now the animals realized that it was not a God’s angel but a Jackal who was making fool of them. They got annoyed and ran after him to punish him.

Page 16: The Jackal somehow managed to save his life. But today he learnt a lesson that once or twice you can make fool of somebody and take unfair advantage of one’s faith but not always. Ultimately the truth reveals itself.
