Description of Bus Driver: New York City 3D

Take control of the wheel as you aim to become a public transport mogul and build a successful bus company. With a highly detailed bus to drive and a huge map featuring everything from the inner city to the parking lot, hills and country roads, the choice of route network is yours. In Bus Driver New York Sim 3 D, you must manoeuvre through the city and other locations. Train to transport passengers and become one of the best drivers in town!

THE BUS

The Bus is realistically modeled and features both first person and third person view perspective. Third person view will give you the best overview, while first person, gives you that immersive “drivers seat” experience. The highly detailed bus model is relatively easy to drive and you’ll be amazed by the true to life physics of the carriage. The bus uses manual throttle, but there is no need to use manual gear changes. This results in a relaxing experience where you can drive your car with intuitive touch controls. Acceleration and braking are controlled using touch buttons. The brake also acts as the reverse.

THE CITY
Your practice runs take place in a city where you can freely roam the highway and small inner roads. The open space is ideal to take your coach for a spin without risking an accident. The level also boasts a wide parking lot in which you can train your parking skills to the max. Can you park your bus neatly between the lines? Venture through the city and you can climb hills.

RAMPS
On several points on the map you can find irregularities in the road and ramps. Can you successfully navigate your bus over these obstacles? Only a true and trained chauffeur will be able to take these challenging hurdles.

Commuter Trains and Buses
As New York’s metropolitan area expanded, the need for public transportation to shuttle commuters to and from the city’s business centers increased. A number of private bus companies, once operating independently, were eventually consolidated into two commuter train lines and two commuter bus lines – now all part of the MTA network.

History of New York's bus service
Long Island Bus links nearly 100 Long Island communities and 48 LIRR stations to areas throughout Nassau County, western Suffolk County and into eastern Queens. The agency was established in 1973 when MTA unified ten private bus lines. Today, the 54 routes of Long Island Bus generate over 100,000 weekday commuters.

The newly formed MTA Bus Company was created in September 2004 to assume the operations of seven bus companies. The merging of the companies into MTA Bus began in January 2005 and was completed in February 2006. The seven companies operated 46 local bus routes in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens and 35 express bus routes between Manhattan and the Bronx, Brooklyn, or Queens. Together the seven companies had 1,228 buses, which makes MTA Bus the eleventh largest bus fleet in the United States, serving 400,000 riders daily.

New York City is distinguished from all other American cities by its use of public transportation. From horse-drawn vehicles to the subways, buses, and commuter lines of today, public transit has been the overwhelmingly dominant form of travel for New Yorkers. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, New York City is the only locality in the United States where more than half of all households do not own a car (the figure is even higher in Manhattan, over 75%; nationally, a mere 8% of households do not own a car).
