The golden hour occurs just after sunrise and before sunset, when the sun is low on the horizon, creating that signature warm glow. The blue hour arrives shortly before sunrise and after sunset, when the sun’s position just below the horizon produces those cooler tones. When someone choosing a home, it is important to know where the sun will be at different times of the day and year, and when different parts of the house or garden will be light or shaded. This application shows the solar path projection for different times of the day and throughout the year, so that you can see when the sun will shine on different parts of the property and when it will be obstructed by nearby objects causing shade.
