Driver Guard is an easy to use driver assistance application that helps the driver to avoid accidents. It uses the smart phone’s camera to monitor the scene in front of the driver, detect preceding cars, estimates the distance to all preceding cars, and fires an alarm when the driver approaches any car dangerously. The application also shows the driver’s current speed using GPS and distance to the nearest car in front of the driver.

The app requires that the device to be put on a mobile holder attached to the windshield parallel to the road plane.
