LANnouncer runs in the background, listening on LAN (local), SMS or GCM (Google Cloud Messaging) to announce events from your home automation system. LANnouncer supports TTS (text-to-speech), so that events can be fully spoken, plus a few basic alarms, strobes and text notifications. It can also take photos or prepare them from local IP cameras. Alone, LANnouncer isn't very valuable. But with the help of a Home Automation System, IFTTT recipes or scripts, it can bring events to life.
