The Italian Repertoire of Families of Words (RIF) is a tool for teaching and enriching vocabulary: it is organized around 366 etymons, mostly Latin, under which Italian word families are gathered. For example, under the «ancestor» ANIMUM there is soul, animadversion, animosity, animosity, etc.

Each family is based on the bonds of morphological and semantic relationship between words, alphabetically ordered and grouped in sub-families of "descendants".
Each word is given the grammatical qualification, one or more definitions accompanied by any brands of use and the etymology, when it offers useful information to reconstruct the links with the progenitor or with the Italian descent word.

You can use the app in offline version to have the dictionary always on the device or in online version to save time and download space.
