Sulaimaniya International Airport, On December 2003 the work was started by one of the specialist Turkish company to construct Sulaymaniyah International Airport according to the ICAO specifications. It is planned to construct the airport through two stages. Sulaymaniyah also called Sulaimani or Slemani, is a city in Iraqi Kurdistan. The city has a semi-arid climate with very hot dry summers and cool wet winters. Sulaymaniyah served as the capital of the historic Kurdish principality of Baban from 1784 to 1850.
