GeoSapiens is an interactive map application, free to use, to study the physical and political geography of Spain and the world. It consists of different games to study all of Spain or by autonomous communities, the whole world and by continent. In addition, it includes a landscape module with two games: recognizing the landscapes of the National Parks and finding a location of the aerial image on the map to know which landscape predominates in that area. Once you have chosen the geographical area and the game, you can select the way to play: - Show, to study. - Drag contour, in some of the games. - Locate random, to play only with 10 random geographic phenomena. - Locate all, to play with all the geographical phenomena. It is fun, challenging and easy to use, without the need for an internet connection (except for the landscape module that requires being connected to the network). The application is bilingual in Spanish and English and has reinforcement sounds, which can be activated and deactivated. GeoSapiens is an educational resource of the National Geographic Institute (IGN) and the National Geographic Information Center (CNIG) carried out in collaboration with the University School of Topography, Geodesy and Cartography Engineers of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and with the support of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).
