Description of ESP32 Internet E/S
This application allows you to quickly get started with the ESP32 card. It contains :
1- A remote control:
- To control a led or a device (ON / OFF) remotely via the Internet.
- To send a text to your ESP32, it will be displayed on the serial monitor.
- The application also generates the code to copy and compile with the Arduino IDE to use the remote control (Possibility to send it directly by email)
-The application also gives some examples of assemblies to do to control the esp32 remotely
2-A monitor:
- To test the ESP32 TOUCH GPIOs which are touch sensitive pins of the ESP32. The monitor will display the variations in values each time you touch the chosen GPIO Touch.
- To retrieve data from a Temperature / Humidity sensor (DHT11, DHT22 or DHT21) connected to your ESP32 card via the Internet. The monitor will display temperature and humidity level with constant update.
- To retrieve a random number that comes from the ESP32 (via Internet) ... (This is of no use unless you just want to test the reception of data sent by the card (To begin or to teach the IOT)
- The application also generates the code to copy and compile with the Arduino IDE to use the monitor (Possibility to send it directly by email)
-The application also gives some examples of mounts to be done to recover data from the esp32.
The application uses Firebase as an intermediary between your smartphone and your ESP32 card .... The firebase integrated into the application is fully functional and you can use it directly. But if you want to use your own Firebase (for long term use or just for more security with a private database), the app offers you a tutorial to create your Firebase.
The application allows you to directly integrate the coordinates of your database (Address and secret code)
- For beginners and students the application also provides tutorials to install and use the Arduino IDE and to better understand the structure of the ESP32 board
Basically, this application was developed to facilitate the teaching of IOT as part of the Computer Science Curricula in high schools in Tunisia ... and help students better understand the concept of connected objects ... an object connected to the Internet becomes child's play.
The application can of course also be used for long-term use to order objects / retrieve data from an object ...
Updates are planned to integrate new services.
