The new Mawis bitPAYT application promotes the circular economy at the municipal level, encouraging selective collection and recycling and giving support to systems that promote the introduction of bonuses, incentives and individualization of the waste rate through pay-as-you-throw (PAYT) schemes.

The application has been created as a tool to allow greater transparency and interaction of the citizens and businesses with their municipality in terms of waste.

If you are a citizen or business of an adhered municipality, you can download the app for free and once your City Council verifies your account, you will have a tool that will allow you to report incidents related to the waste management of your municipality (providing data of the type of incident, description of it, you can attach photographs, geolocate it, ...) and you will have traceability in its resolution.

In addition, you will have access to the waste information in your town, collection calendar, recycling info and a map with the containers that you have closest to you, being able to filter by distance and fraction that you need.

The application is linked to the MAWIS U2 MOBA software for efficient management of urban services, which allows your City Council and the service company in charge of waste collection and/or street cleaning to manage incidents more efficiently and better transparency with citizens.

Soon your Town Hall can keep you informed of all news related to the environment and waste management through notifications.

And if in your municipality there are smart containers and/or door-to-door collection services you can visualize your waste contributions in the app and know your recycling rates and, in the future, you can get bonuses, incentives and individualization of the waste rate through pay-as-you-throw schemes.
