Description of দশমহাবিদ্যা - Das Mahavidya

According to the story mentioned in the Buddhism Purana, a bridal feud between Shiva and his wife, Parvati's predecessor, Sati, is the source of the Tenth Mahavidya. Sati's father skilled Shiva and Sati did not differ in marriage. So when he arranges the yajna, he does not invite the newly married Shiva-sati. Shiva refuses to go to his father's house without invitation. An angry Sati started to fire from the third nayana to obtain her husband's permission and converted to Kali or Shyama. When the scared Shiva fled to see this idol, Sati took ten forms of Mahabadavari (Kali, Tara, Shorshi, Bhubaneshwari, Bhairabi, Chhinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bogla, Matangi, Kamala) and surrounded Shiva in ten directions. Shiva then allowed him to attend in the skill.

The tenth science is Kali, Tara, Shorshi, Bhubaneshwari, Bhairabi, Chhinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bogla, Matangi, Kamala. Mahagya or Tenth Mahagya is the collective name of the ten special forms of the goddess, namely, the goddess in Hinduism. On one side of this sequence of divinity is the dreadful goddess, and on the other end there is an impossibly beautiful goddess.

According to the Mundamala Tantra, the tenth mythology is Kali, Tara, Shorshi, Bhairabi, Bhubaneshwari, Chhinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bogla, Matangi and Kamalakamini. However, there are differences in the number of epistemologies. Even in one opinion the epics have been said to be twenty-one. Durga, Kamakhya and Annapurna are also mahogany. According to Malini Vijay's book, Mahagya is Kali, Neela, Mahadurga, Tavrita, Chhinnamastika, Bagbadini, Annapurna, Pratibigira, Kamakhivasini, Bala, Matangi and Shailavasini.
