The App provides an easy and convenient access to the mobile side of the DWD (German weather service) on which there is the current weather conditions and warnings of severe weather. There is also the current forest fire warning location and pollen forecast and now also a Doppler radar. The APP also represents the current risk of forest fires and the UV index.

There are severe weather warnings for all counties and a week forecast of possible severe weather hazards (storm, hail, snow, ice, storm or whatever).

In addition, a background service to be activated, the checked regularly weather warnings and shows a Unwetterwarung in the mobile phone display. For this purpose have to be running the app. Here, the region is used which has been selected in the window region. A second region can be activated in the settings.

Alerts can also be displayed in a widget. Works only when the app is not installed on the SD card. Updating the widgets currently fixed 60 minutes.

The app currently works only for Germany.

This is not an official app of the DWD but only an optimized browser with additional functionality.
