Colossal Cave Adventure, or Cave - the oldest known computer game in the genre of the quest. The first version in 1975 (in the year of my birth) created by the programmer and caver Will Crowther (Will Crowther). The main part of the maze quite accurately describes the topology of some of Mammoth Cave in Kentucky (I was not there, it's from Wikipedia).

Presumably, the Russian translation of the game for computers that are compatible with computers of the series DEC PDP-11, carried out an expert in software for these machines - GV Vigdorchik.

All commands are recognized by the first four letters. So, if it is written "crawling (s)", the "crawling" or "creep" - the correct command, and "crawl" or "polzi" - wrong (of course, not necessary to type the quotes!).

In the drop-down menu, the word "dwarf" meet the team "throw an ax" and the word "ax" - "take an ax". This will greatly facilitate your travel (and reduce the population of dwarfs!).

To save your game, enter the "SAVE". To the question "Do you want to interrupt the game in order to continue it later?" answer "yes". When you start a saved game is loaded automatically. Unlike the original version, you can continue the game after saving!

To get points for the found treasure, you have to transfer it to the house and put it firmly, although counts and what you just found it.

IMPORTANT: especially for those who have never played in text quests! At the very beginning of the game, after the phrase "Welcome to the journey! Need instructions?", Click on the magnifying glass icon (in the upper right corner) and type "yes" or "no" without the quotes.

HOW TO GET INTO THE CAVE?

1st option:

a) go in the house.
b) take the lamp, keys, food and a bottle of water.
c) leave the house.
g) going SOUTH-SOUTH-SOUTH-open lattice-DOWN.

Option 2:

a) in the house say the secret word "plof".
b) be teleported to the cave.
c) light a lamp.

IMPORTANT: If at the beginning of the game in the home is only one thing, the rest you will find in the forest or in the valley near the stream.

TIPS:

a) you will not be able to catch the bird, if you are carrying the rod.
b) it is necessary to release the bird with a snake in the room.
c) wave your wand in front of the abyss and a bridge will appear.
g) the troll is afraid of the bear.
d) to tame bear, it must be fed.

RESTART THE GAME:

If you killed a dwarf, or you fall into the abyss, select "RESTART" in the menu and game will restart automatically.
