Heroin overdose is a leading cause of death among drug users. Eurostat data, 2013 show that represent more than 3.4% of all deaths among Europeans 15-39 years. Also in the first decade of the century more than 70,000 young people died for this cause and each year between 9 and 22% of consumers suffer a non-fatal heroin overdose, the main causes of it injected drug consumption, the use after a period of abstinence and the mixing of different drugs, including alcohol (1).

In order to reduce these numbers, avoid risks and increase rescatabilidad from different organizations and public health agencies, it advises consumers who are accompanied if they do. The project "2RescApp" born to respond to the need to streamline, upgrade and modernize the action in case of "Emergency overdose "meaning that overdose deaths can be avoided if you act immediately when the first symptoms AND ASK FOR HELP.

The main idea is to use the increasingly common new technologies, prevention of "death by overdose" in response to a sector of the population that has not yet been able to benefit from them.

The main objective of the project is to provide the drug users as well as those closest to them (whether family, friends, health professionals and others), a support tool in emergency drug overdose injected like heroin.

Using a mobile, free, cross-platform App, the function of which is simply to guide the actions of the person who detects the presence or overdose, considering that this is an emergency. And this is possible through a visual and hearing aids, which simply throws to run the app, and follows a logical algorithm that specific action in case of emergency.
