In modern Russia, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB), the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (GRU), and the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSO) can be classified as special services in modern Russia.
 Naturally, to work in the special services you need to study a lot and for a long time. But first you still need to get to the appropriate educational institutions. And getting there is not so easy! We need very good training in all subjects of the school curriculum. We need a high level of intelligence coefficient - IQ, necessarily - high learning ability and ability to self-development. We need special character qualities - self-control, endurance, stress tolerance, sociability, determination, courage, resourcefulness, self-confidence, as well as high moral and patriotic foundations.
Such people are selected very carefully! And even they, specially selected people who have passed multiple checks, exams, tests, who were admitted to study and received higher education, do not finish their training on this. They are forced to study almost their whole lives in order to meet the high requirements of special services officers. In addition to the higher education system, there are a huge number of various advanced training and retraining courses in the state security structures. So, in order to reach the rank of general, you need to pass the system of training and retraining at least five times.
What is taught in special services schools? Of course, there exists the widest general education program. A future employee of the relevant departments should not only acquire knowledge and skills in their specialization, but also have thorough training in the field of law and psychology, as well as understand literature, art, and speak foreign languages. And, of course, intellectual preparation is almost in the first place. There is nothing to do at this work without a trained memory, attention, observation, intelligence!
