The aim of the diagnostic and treatment algorithms application in Gastroenterology (GASTROEN) is to gather clear and concise algorithms on 30 major issues of our specialty, the purpose of which will be useful for rapid consultation on specific issues and practices that we usually arise in the development of healthcare activity.

We have chosen the form of an algorithm, as we believe it is most appropriate to solve quickly a fundamentally practical matter, by explicit schemes with the steps to different specific questions (decision trees) method.

The core of the project constitute it, as its name suggests, algorithms, diagnostic and therapeutic which in turn contain links and additional information useful to understanding the decision tree. The essential purpose is to help understand or justify the decision taken at each point of the algorithm. In addition, to expand and deepen the content, relevant citations are provided and updated.

All authors are experts who participated in the elaborate theme and content of the schemes has been reviewed thoroughly.
